Long commute but it beats a job in Idaho or Alaska I guess. Has there ever been any settlement announced between Brannen and UC? Not that we'll ever be privy to the terms, but it would be interesting if there is closure for both parties.

Was wondering the same when I saw this thread. All related news to the topic seemed to just fallen off and agree it would be good for both sides to move on completely.

Would the settlement be subject to a FOIA filing?

I bet there is some stuff you could go fishing for, but my guess is most of it would be sealed.

The case is still on. Looks like they are fighting over discovery.

Wasn't one of his arguments that the fashion with which he was removed harmed his ability to ever work in college coaching again? This all kind of kills that point...

Well he waited a year and then landed a make-work job from his buddy, so this probably isn't going to be the thing that tanks his suit.

I doubt it hurts and may actually help as he now has proof the best a former HC can get is a made-up job at a minimum salary.

That's sort of what I was thinking, too.

This is a job where he's not allowed to actually coach players (per NCAA regulations limiting the number of assistant coaches who are allowed to perform on-court instruction).

Everyone can move on.
Glad that it’s over. Just an odd fit for UC. The entire marriage between the coach and school just never felt right.

Bolded and bolded, yes. It's not clear to me what actually happened but I suspect both parties can shoulder some blame for that train derailing.

Wes has brought energy, excitement, and a reverence for Cincinnati's rich tradition back to the forefront. Recruiting looks promising. I harbor no ill will toward Brannen but I'm glad he's moved on and we have closure on a short, but messy chapter in the elite history of Bearcat Basketball.

Yes, it was awful of him to spend money to get a player mental help.

Swing and a miss.
I’m glad he’s gone. He got his payoff. Good riddance, turd.

Yes, you did.
I dunno.

It seems that the players who complained the loudest were the ones who ended up not being talented enough to play at this level anyways.

Regardless, water under the bridge.

I'm all in for Coach Miller.
