6:00 kick-off

Lots of tickets still available and great weather expected so get to Zable!

Student side half has, obviously, no tickets available and very few tickets remain between the 35s on either side. Conversely, very few sold in the visitors section.
From Campbell’s win over Citadel:

Campbell scored on its first five trips to the red zone.

Bryant Barr rushed for a career-high 107 yards on 19 carries and 5.6 ypc.

Anderson led Campbell with four receptions for 65 yards.

Camels did not allow a Bulldog touchdown until 2:53 remained in the game.

Campbell defense forced three turnovers (2 INTs from a QB who very rarely passes).

Actually, a lot of tickets sold across the home side. Quite a few tickets not sold between the 35's reserved for season tickets. They ought to go ahead and release those seats for individual purchase at this stage to assure the middle is filled. I wouldn't be surprised to see Campbell fans travelling well for this game.

Chairback seats in sections 103-105 will only be sold to season ticket holders this year. That is the way that they justified getting exorbitant prices from season ticket holders this year.
I watched that Campbell game, and before it got out of hand, it seemed like Campbell’s defenders struggled trying to defend in space.

Like I mentioned in another thread, Campbell struggled to put the ball in the end zone against a not very good Citadel defense, which gave up 34 points a game last season.

If we play anything like we did on Friday, this one shouldn’t be close, but Campbell does have some talent, as they had recruited better than a few P5 schools last class, including 4* SAF Myles Rowser.

This is what’s left. Campbell will not travel well and W&M fans need to be a lot more involved. People have lives and live far away, but if you have time to watch on Flo and live within 90 minutes of Zable, and don’t attend in person, shame on you.
I saw we had at least two noticeable injuries vs Charlotte.
How are # 94 Garrett Huyck and #50 Drew Sotka doing?

A few of those lighter green sections literally only have about 10 scattered tickets for sale so it’s a bit deceiving.

It looks like Campbell has sold at least one entire section. They will travel I think as well as anyone north of Delaware and probably better than Towson.

This will be an interesting game given their upcoming move in conference.
Big win last week, but Campbell doesnt excite. I expect that IFFFF we go 2-0 and 3-0, we will have a much better sales figure the rest of the season. Takes awhile to build interest after years of mediocrity. Also ODU beating VT definitely stole our thunder a bit for the local news.

Haha, I don’t even think we got some coverage on the WAVY sportswrap.
First home game always draws students. Let’s hope our marketing department does something to trap their enthusiasm. If we lay an egg vs Campbell and the atmosphere at Zable is unexceptional, we may lose a lot of student support. If we can feed the first 200 for field hockey’s opener, we can feed 1,000 students. Hand out Tribe Football teeshirts, noise makers, and help set up a student tailgate lot for the free pasta or whatever.
The students have announced that Saturday’s game is a white out.

Not sure how they're operating down there but they have 123 players on their roster. That's pretty much unheard of at the FCS level.

Biggest roster we've played against and may be the largest team size wise as well. Their O-line averages 6'5" 330 and the D-line (4 down) averages 6'4" 285.
3 wins last year
28 transfers in
Top recruiting class in FCS
Hell of a sales job by their staff

123 players? So 63 scholarships and 60 walkons? Sheesh.
They have upwards of 35+ grad students and redshirt seniors.

Massey has us as a 17 point favorite, but Massey also has us as the 6th best team in the country.

Bill Connelly also has us as a 17 point favorite.

They started 6-1 in 2019 before collapsing down the stretch to finish 6-5.

Their QB was injured through most of last season, but came back for a game against JMU and threw for 268 yards, a career high.

He also threw 3 TDs against Elon last season, in a 24-23 loss.

He doesn’t seem to be very accurate, only getting above 60% completion in 5 of his games over the years, but when he hits, he hits deep.
