Whitlock pointed out some things Porteny has said since he sold Barstool to a billionaire group, which expose him for the fake person he really is.
Now Whitlock did not get trashy with him but Portney responded on twitter with some of the most vile and childlike responses one can make and really exposed his true colors.
The links are to the full shows the last 2 days but you can just watch the first 8-10 minutes and Whitlock summarizes everything. This also included comedian troll Alex Stein who really kicked all this off when Portney blocked some of his routines to appear more woke for his new billionaire owners.
Whitlock put out an article about the Portney and Stein situation, Portney responded on twitter with some vile and trashy attacks so Whitlock responded the next day.

You probably should have listed to his opening monologue first.
The difference is Whitlock is very open about those things and very open about his regrets for his past and why he has taken on a more serious Biblical world view now. He talks about this all the time every day on his show.
Unlike Portney, he is not pretending to be someone he is not, nor is he covering up his past sins. Quite the opposite.

I'll check it out when I get some time later today. He probably has changed his tune after being let go from so many different publications over the years because he just wanted to be "controversial". But then again, going after Portnoy seems like the typical "controversial" attacks he is known for.

Yeah, no one a guy just honestly comes to true faith as they get older and begins to live it for real and is open about the mistakes of their past life. That just never happens to sinners.
Again, you should have listened before you spoke and judged. As the book says, a foolish person is quick to speak and slow to listen, a wise person is quick to listen and slow to speak.
I've read enough of your posts to know you are usually above basic foolishness.

Very few do. If he did, good for him. But after you've been through someone's reinvention of themselves enough times you start to really question their motives. This isn't the first time he's used his religion to say he's a new man and a changed man. But... as I said, if he did, good for him. When he's writing without an ulterior motive he is very talented.

Again, you should have listened first and then commented instead of just blindly attacking and totally ignoring the topic. It makes for more productive threads and discussions of the actual topic.
Were now 10 posts in and none of it is about the topic.
Portnoy, like many of us, has his warts. I don't agree with his politics and he is clearly a narcissist. However, being fair, I respect Portnoy for helping out numerous mom/pop pizza franchises through the pandemic, similar to my feelings about LeBron, who is generous in helping those he chooses.
You can be a pompous jerk and still do some good things, or many good things like President Trump.
