I find tracking the offers interesting to see which MAC teams are competing with each other over recruits. Before doing this, I had assumed that the MAC schools were mostly competing with each other for the same recruits, but this data shows that isn't true at all. Most commits don't seem to have offers from any other MAC teams, and only a couple players have offers from several. (Of course, there may be offers out there I couldn't find, so the list is likely very incomplete.) Indiana, Michigan and Ohio represent more than half the recruits.

Very few of the commits had any P6 offers, with BSU's Ashlynn Brooke having 4 reported P6 offers, and UT's Macey Fegan reported having an offer from Michigan, and BG's Blair had an offer from Pitt.

CMU, by my reading, will have 6 open slots next year, having signed several 1 year grad transfer rentals in the portal this year, and with Jahari Smith being a 5th year player, yet I can only find 1 verbal for them so far, and she did not appear to be highly recruited at all (possibly because she was injured last year.) Castro is still recruiting mostly from OK, MO, TX areas, even after being in Ypsi for 6 seasons now I think. Buffalo's new coach has signed a ton, mostly all guards. And several teams seem to have more commits than they have clear spots available, so I must be missing something from reading their rosters.

Almost impossible to find info on offers from the international players.

So, there are 30 incoming FR already for '23 (assuming these all sign) which is already more than the whole '22 class (26) and many of those from last year were not signed until Feb or later.

That seems to me a sign that the clog from the extra COVID year offered to players is starting to loosen up, although we have a couple more years til it completely clears out.

Not 100% confirmed yet, but it appears from some tweets that Ball State has gotten verbals from the Smith twins (Hailey and Olivia) out of Fishers, IN. Both are 5'9 G. They both had offers from WMU, Oakland, Chattanooga, Robert Morris, Evansville, and for some reason, Florida State. It appears they want to play together in college.

Also Akron finally released their roster, and it does now appear they have 2 open slots for sure in '23 along with 2 seniors who could choose a 5th year or not.

About a month out from signing day in November, and the first verbal in a while for WMU:

The only offer I can see explicitly mentioned on her twitter is from Albion (DII), and she took recent visits to Hope (DIII) and Acquinas (NAIA)

BGSU gets a '24 verbal from 6'0 F Lauren Gerken from Liberty Benton. Tons of offers, but all MAC and lower (Dayton is lower right now until the new coach proves herself), including:

NIU picks up a 2024 commit from 5'8 CG Lexi Carlson, Sycamore HS, IL. Yes, she is coach Lisa Carlson's daughter.

Don't see any other offers documented on her twitter, but that could be that it was a forgone conclusion she would sign with NIU. Same HS as WMU 2023 commit 6'4 Evyn Carrier.

Well, this one is interesting. Kent got a verbal today from 5'10 F Bianca Juzzo, a JUCO player from New Mexico JC. She's came to NMJC from Brazil. I say interesting, because her stat line as a FR at NMJC averaged 5 points and 3 reb. The typical JUCO-DI commit has bigger production numbers than that. And she only took 24 three point shots last year, in 30 games, which is not the typical type Starkey looks for. Still, he must see something there.
