Joel Williams, a 6’1”, 203 pound DB from the University of Kentucky has transferred to Memphis. He was a 4 star recruit out of Louisiana with offers from almost every SEC school along with Oklahoma, Ohio State and others.
He has 3 years of eligibility remaining. MAJOR addition to our team!!
UK has had 18 players transfer out since the end of last season. We have been fortunate to have far, far fewer transfers than most schools.
UK must really be upgrading it's recruiting to have so many players transfer. Since UK is the consensus 2nd pick in the SEC East despite the transfers, it doesn't seem to be a dissention issue that has caused so many to transfer.

Yeah--agreed -if we can say it at MEMPHIS--then I guess KENSUCKY can too------------remember when we have transfers it means they lost their starting position because we recruited better players----but when other teams have transfers it means a problem within the program

Silverfield has a lot of NFL experience. I think it just gets down to finding the players that you think can make your team better. If Williams thinks he can play here and Silverfield thinks he makes the team better. That is fine with me. What happened at Kentucky may or may not be relevant to our needs at Memphis. All it did was open a door for Williams.

What? There has been plenty of discussion about transfers we've lost for reasons other than "better players". Coxie is a great example - as is Eze.

Do you have examples, or the usual fairytale you pulled out of your rear end?

I dont think Coxie transferred…just opted out at the end of the year. I’d love to still have the WR that went to USC, but he seemed to be a bit if a head-case.

Washington would have been great here, c'est la vie.

That man was kicked off the team among others for trying to rob the dope mane.

I wonder what goes through the players head when they do things like that. Most likely the reason he didn't get a shot in the NFL. The speed also but to throw away a career a future football career for something so silly. Maybe NIL is not so bad

Who Washington? He is still on the USC team. Who are you referring to?
