I truly hope the defense comes out and surprises the pundits this year. There is currently no respect for the Eagle's D. I would love to see some single-digit games for our opponents.

im on the other side of the equation. the oline gets talked up and i want to see it come through and have some 10 minute 20 play run heavy drives. real siege warfare type stuff. the other team cant score if they dont have the ball. set up the play action etc etc.

I agree with both opinions. Our Defense is getting NO love but maybe that's what we deserve with recent years efforts. The fact remains though that we have a very deep secondary room, 2 P5 linebacker transfers, Jose coming into his own and guys like Carter Evans and Melvin Swindle getting older and are ready to play. I think we will be much better than in years past

In regards to the O-line, I think there aren't a lot of excuses this year. We have talent and experience and I think they know they have to dominate. I was at the Texas State game last year and was very impressed early in the season. We ended not so great but with two All-Mac guys at the tackle positions, Howie, Johnson and P5 Dmitri as well as Bates I don't think there's any reason we can't be in the top 3 of the MAC. That's a real good group.

Maybe im.drinking the Kool Aid but in the 6 years or so I've followed this team, this is the most talented roster I've seen.

Looking forward to this game to see how we look as well. Lost our best DB to the portal, picked up 12 from the portal to include linemen on both sides of the ball. McKinney has lots of experience at QB.

fun fact about dansplaining - i missed the end of the CCSU game because i had left about 5 minutes early and was cussing up a storm in the parking lot about the egg we just laid.

Welcome to our board. How does your defensive front 7 look? Reason being is that you can expect EMU to try to pound EKU up front.

Interior size around 290lbs. Ends 250 - 260. Waiting on a depth chart as we had some FBS linemen transfer in.

We have a lot of close games. Wonder how we are at beating the spread over the years.

EMU best not look past EKu as they have key starters back on offense and defense. I expect 3000 travelers coming up from Kentucky They have a very good QB, an SEC oline transfer and a great TE. On defense they have an all American. EMU better be fired up ready to rock!!

It never amazes me how stupid some athletes can be. What kind of wealth do you think one can obtain from robbing a postal worker? Why does it always seem to be either football or basketball players? I don't know of ever hearing of a collegiate swimmer, soccer player, etc. robbing someone.

My prediction is EMU winning by 10 as both teams work out their kinks in the first game of the season.
