Than conferences are in jeopardy? With this new P2/3 BS, do you think that ESPN will break up the G5 into regions and develop a playoff system as such? More like a pro model of stuff? I know, it's late and I need to go to bed, but this is the crap i think of when the power is out.
I try very hard not to think, it's make me see the world as it truly is and that causes panic attacks, migraines, and chronic nightmares.

I doubt it. But if they did, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Most of the SB region teams would still be together. ESPN would have to give equal money to everyone though. And Id think ECU, Boise, USF would have a difficult time being paid the same as FIU.
ESPN DGAF geography and isn't going to push for a playoff that won't make as much money.
They will never break up the G5 conferences and force schools to be together based geographical fit. As far as them creating another playoff for G5 schools, I think that is a possibility at some point, but it would have to be by the G5's choosing.

We are headed towards an expanded playoff for the top 12 teams and no auto-bids for conference champions. As long as there is a legitimate path (no matter how slim) for us to play for a big boy national championship then I can't see the G5 schools volunteering to give up their spot.
I can see the attempt to break down the G5 to maybe the G3 to make it easier for media contracts, etc. The super conference idea seems to be the push to allow better media deals, simpler contracts, etc...but who knows.
