I got curious how baseball in the new SBC would have stacked up with other conferences this season, if realignment had already been completed among all conferences.

Here is what the top 10 baseball conferences based on RPI would've looked like, with all schools in D1 moved into their new conferences. This includes the SBC's new teams, USC/UCLA being in the Big 10, the new CUSA schools, OU/Texas being in the SEC, UCF/Houston/Cincy being in the Big 12, etc.

1. SEC - (27.75)
2. ACC - (39.57)
3. Pac-12 - (59.77)
4. Big 12 - (77.20)
5. SBC - (94.64)
6. American - (109.30)
7. Big 10 - (111.66)
8. MVC - (117.12)
9. Colonial - (131.00)
10. West Coast - (135.8)
Hi I'm *cough cough*, CUSA is the best baseball conference in all all America, especially withcour new additions!

In all seriousness. SBC baseball is impressive. Wonder what it would look like on the softball side.

Clear cut #5. There's almost as much distance between us and the AAC, as between us and the Big 12.

There's reason to believe our league will continue improving, too. Love to see it

This year wasn’t a banner year for the league, but I’m pretty sure last year would have been top 5.
Not to mention Big 12 is going to be a bit weaker once Oklahoma and Texas depart.

Well, the RPI ratings I did was with Oklahoma and Texas already in the SEC... and UCF/Cincy/Houston/BYU in the Big 12.

Ah. Got it. My bad. Didn’t read it all the way through.

Just you wait until they get Tarleton! You'll see!
I did this calculation for Softball. It's hard to do because the RPIs for each team would obviously be different playing a slate of a different league opponents, so take this with a grain of salt. But I did this for the past two years doing a straight replace and accounting for all the following teams moving (not all teams listed have softball):
OU/UT to SEC
UCF, Cincy, Houston, and BYU to Big 12
USC and UCLA to Big Ten
USM, Marshall, ODU, and JMU to SBC
UNT/UTSA/UAB/Charlotte/FAU/Rice to AAC
JSU, SHSU, NMSU, and Liberty to CUSA

2022:
20.87 - SEC
28.88 - Pac-12
46.46 - ACC
52.63 - Big 12
60.93 - Big Ten
97.70 - AAC
112.85 - Sun Belt
134.56 - C-USA
129.78 - Mountain West
145.33 - Big East

2021:
18.13 - SEC
40.88 - Pac-12
55.25 - Big 12
77.46 - ACC
103.46 - Sun Belt
108.10 - AAC
121.86 - CAA
123.80 - Big Ten
128.00 - CUSA
131.18 - MAAC
