For the big Least to get a spot in the Houston bowl, one of two things would have to happen before they could be considered:
1) The big Least have 5 bowl eligible teams (not likely in an 8 team conference).
2) With only 4 bowl eligible teams and 4 other bowl agreements Notre Lame would have to take the big Least's Gator Bowl spot.
Even then, would the likes of Rutgers, UCONN, Pitt, Cincy, or SU be more attractive than one of CUSA's TX teams or even So. Miss, Tulane, or Tulsa. Not likely!!! big Least not likely to get Houston Bowl often. I doubt Notre Lame would accept the bid.
