Quote:A poll from the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics found that 28% of U.S. voters think that they will have to take up arms against the government of the United States. Broken down by party 45% of Republicans, 21% of Democrats, and 35% of Independent voters agree. 73% of strong Republicans and among rural voters that number is 68%. No wonder. The priorities of the left are transgenders and illegal immigrants and on the right, the priority is Americans.

The one thing that used to bind both Democrats and Republicans together was the love of country, but no more. The Republicans still love it, but the Democrats despise it. The funny thing is what the Democrats say makes them hate the country, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, and the KKK are all the policies of Democrats.

In regards to trusting elections, only 33% say they are honest and fair. 51% of Independents think elections are honest and 78% of Democrats say they are fair and honest. Of course, the majority of Democrats like the way the elections are run. Every discrepancy favors the Democrats. Not the majority, not most, but every single one. What are the odds that would happen in honest elections?

From The Blaze

According to the poll, 73% of Republicans say that “Democrats are generally bullies who want to impose their political beliefs on those who disagree.” At nearly the same percentage (74%), Democrats view Republicans as bullies who want to impose their political beliefs on others.

There were 49% of poll participants who “avoided political discussions with others because I don’t know where they stand.” Politics has caused a quarter of Americans to lose friends and avoid friends or relatives for their political beliefs, according to the poll. There were 38% who “unfriended or stopped following someone on social media because of their political views.” The survey found that 26% of people stopped doing business with a company or brand because of their politics.

“While we’ve documented for years the partisan polarization in the country, these poll results are perhaps the starkest evidence of the deep divisions in partisan attitudes rippling through the country,” said Republican pollster Neil Newhouse – who helped conduct the poll.

Anyone wonder at all why the ants in the pants hurry by the left to take our 2nd amendment away from us?
I believe only 14% took up arms against the British. A small group of patriots gave us our rights. What will we do when the socialists-communist push to far?

I'm in. I'm old enough not to give a damn.
This is pretty ugly. I'd note that even with full control of congress and white house, more than 1 in 5 Democrats still wants to take up arms against the government. Almost half of Republicans----and a third of independents apparently say the same thing. Frankly, I blame a media that reports "narratives" rather than "news"---and does so in a way that paints the "opposition" as---at best---crazy unreasonable out of control nut jobs---and at worst dehumanizes the opposition as "Hitler". When your media business model (looking at you MSNBC) is to sell politics like hate filled rivalry football game---this is the atmosphere you create. While NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, FOX, etc all do the same to a lesser degree---Nobody is as quite as blatant at selling outright hate as MSNBC. That network is despicable.

On a positive note----my UH math tells me those percentages indicate a large number of voters still fully support the the 2nd Amendment's main reason for existing.
