Saw in the CPH article in the Daily Memphian that there was apparently a tiff between Cody Toppert and Larry Brown during last season. I don't recall reading about that, but then again, I am old and subject to senior moments.
Somebody fill me in please.
First I've heard of it. The body language between CPH and CCT looked weird to me during games last year, so I figured there was something going on.

Did notice that Toppert and not Brown occupied the chair next to Penny, usually the one reserved for the #1 Asst ...
Kinda funny really ... Penny hires coaches he can draw from. There's gonna be some disagreements ...feelings hurt. Coach Toppert needs to be a head coach somewhere ... He's got to much alpha. Penny's got a hard head ... Can't wait to see how him and Frank Haith get along. Probably one season.

when you have been the head guy...it is hard to go back to being an assistant

There was a lot of talk that Cody was definitely gone as soon as the season was over. I think it was a mutual decision.
