Why does the ACC continue to shove Virginia down our throats?!

Yep. There it is.

04-cheers
I'm surprised by Louisville's 3 permanent opponents. But I'm happy with it.

The Cardinals Schedule in 2026 is pretty insane.

Home:
Georgia
Clemson
Miami
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech

Away:
Kentucky
Notre Dame
Florida State
North Carolina
Syracuse
Virginia

Plus a buy game (Eastern Kentucky type)

Yikes.

This is highly favorable for Duke. Love the history with Ga. Tech but we need NCSU on the schedule a lot more.

GTECH will be a great roadtrip and recruiting ground for you guys. Miami too! You won the recruiting lottery

To make Foie gras, of course!

(Yes, this is a cruel process which I do not approve of personally - nor do I eat foie gras - so don't PM me!)

I am hopeful as I have always enjoyed my time in Bardstown. So coming to Louisville will be fun. I just wish we have FSU instead of WF but with Geoff Collins as coach it probably doesn't matter much we only going to win 3 games a year.
As usual The ACC blows another opportunity. Why not Virginia Tech instead of Virginia?
I guess that can be expected it is The ACC.

Notice: Duke doesn’t even leave the state for their common opponents.

For the record - UVa vs Louisville all-time series is tied 5-5 in football (plus the Cavs lead 19-4 in basketball).

IMO, Louisville won the lottery in this scheduling format. I don’t understand the snide comment from a Louisville fan. I’m surprised that VT v WF & UVa v UL was scheduled, when the simpler solution would have been VT v UL & UVa v WF. Possibly, opponents boosters would have whined that UVa got favorable (easier) scheduling.
How the heck is FSU vs Syracuse a good permanent rivalry ... Quite a bit of stupid matchups here. Acc gonna acc . FSU gets hosed yet again.

If you’re lucky it could be Bourbon Fest in Bardstown when you visit. In Louisville they do Bourbon and Beyond that same weekend. Usually the weekend closest to the 15th.

When you get to town, send me a PM and we’ll go sample a few bourbons.
From VT fan’s perspective, losing an annual Miami game is sad. But it looks like VT got theee geographically close rivals, which makes sense to me.

BC and Cuse are getting Florida exposure. Pitt got three old Big East foes. Louisville is a real suprise. It is getting zero Big East teams it used to play with but instesd will play Miami and GT every year. Maybe the ESPN was involved here.
Why would the 4 NC teams not play every year?
Not particularly liking this either, but I think we have bigger things to worry about.

I'll miss some of those games on a yearly basis but at worst we will see them every other year. Better than the old schedule where it'd be every six years for opposite division non-crossover teams.

Just looking at the future schedules it looks like VT has:
2023 FSU
2024 neither
2025 both FSU and Miami
2026 Miami

As for FSU/Cuse and Miami/BC, I don't read that as BC & Cuse getting Florida exposure - I read that as FSU and Miami getting exposure in New York and Boston, respectively. And, yes, I think that decision came from ESPN (think TV ratings).

Oh yeah that Syracuse NY market is awesome for college football lol

At least Miami has some history with BC. Syracuse vs FSU is a nothing game.

Miami vs Va Tech annually being off the table is stupid as well. The league could have maximized intriguing matchups but they cant get anything right

Likely because Carolina and Virginia wanted to preserve the "South's Oldest Rivalry", and likely the same for the Textile Bowl (NC State/Clemson).

That, and TV.
