Tight end Nate VanTimmeren (6-5, 215) of Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan this morning, via Twitter.

A class of 2023 recruit, VanTimmeren was offered a scholarship by the Chippewas on April 28 and took an official visit to campus this past weekend.
He chose CMU over reported offers from Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Army West Point and Air Force.
