Some big commitments today!

Headliner so far is Dalin Wilkins, WR from Ohio. He is a 3-stat on both 247 and Rivals with offers from basically the whole MAC along with West Virginia and Kentucky. He is now our highest rated recruit in this class.

Caden Vanderbush, a safety from Indiana. Hasn't been evaluated by the sites yet but has an offer from Western Michigan.

Braden Laux from PA. Looking at some of his highlights it looks like he plays QB but will be coming to Eastern as a tight end (he is 6'4" 215 lbs). He isn't on 247 or Rivals, but according to his twitter he has offers from Western Kentucky and Marshall.

Three really nice addditions to what has already been a good start to this class.

So Coach...from your perspective of the 2024 class in the MAC, who would you say are the early leaders for top class, and where does EMU fit in the picture? As has been said here, from an Eagles' fan perspective 2024 looks like it's shaping up to be another banner year for EMU.

So Coach...from your perspective of the 2024 class in the MAC, who would you say are the early leaders for top class, and where does EMU fit in the picture? As has been said here, from an Eagles' fan perspective 2024 looks like it's shaping up to be another banner year for EMU.

Although Miami and Toledo got off to a hot start, I think EMU is the current leader going into the recruiting dead period. I also thought EMU had the best HS/JUCO class in 2023, despite Rivals not projecting that. That being said, there wasn’t that much of a gap between the top 8 teams by the time all classes were completed. Some schools did an excellent job late using the JUCO route to land some high quality JUCOs that traditionally haven’t been available, but the portal has changed that landscape.

I think most MAC schools have really stepped up their recruiting in 2024. NIU, Ball State, and Kent State seem to have taken a major step forward compared to their 2023 classes (not to say they didn’t land any good players, because they did, but just talking overall) while EMU, Toledo, Miami, Akron, and WMU are starting to take it to the next level.
