If Ja Morant doesn't get hurt...it could very easily have been the Griz in the finals this year.
I expected the Mavs to be better against the Dubs than they were...completely outclassed and outcoached there...whew.
But the Grizz had a real shot. I was really surprised at how well they matched up and played against Golden State. I'm gonna have to pay more attention to the Grizz...starting to get the warm fuzzies for them.

I’m still 03-banghead @ how the @Grizz lost all awareness when it came to defensive rebounding..... There has got to be immense focus on putting your body on a man, then attacking the ball at the peak as well as lose ball chase-downs..... More-than-likely more mental than physical.... especially with @Grizz being a top rebounding team all season...Maybe dubs just had more energy from role-players and knew their roles better

Just rebound and @Grizz are in the finals :shhhh easy for me to say
I catch myself thinking that too. Hopefully those breakdowns at critical, late game points won't happen in future seasons. That and keeping the ball OUT of Dillion Brooks hands in tight games in the last minute.

Does KC = Jordan Poole 01-wingedeagle JP & Andrew Wiggins are incredible complimentary pieces.....Wiggins @ 6’8...defends/rebounds/scores and play wing/post defense is a tremendous asset....younger version of Andre Iguodala....as JP has similarities to Step....Gr8 vets to pattern their games after

I thinks01-wingedeagle JA and Kennedy could work well together and a combo vet COGS
I’m most concerned about losing tyus and Adams but I trust this front office.

If this team had a healthy Adams at the beginning of the GSW series I feel like we win that series and would be playing in the finals.

Who knows though
don't kill me for sayin this, but when I saw the Warriors in the series with Denver, I got the hit it was their year. I don't know if we could have done anything. I was mighty proud of what we did do, though.
But,but but....gr8 insight...03-hissyfit
I am not sure if we would have beaten Dallas though. They seem to give us a lot of problems. We were 1-3 against them this year and 0-3 when Doncic played.
yeah...I don't know either. It seems like stopping one super guy is easier, though, than stopping a team of those guys (all healthy) who knew each others' moves backwards and forwards and been to multiple championships.

All that aside, it will be interesting to watch Celtics Warriors. I'm not sure how many games the Celtics can win against Warriors in a 7 game series. I haven't watched the Celtics play this year.

I think Celtics will win. Defensively they are a monster and have the guards to hang with the Warriors’ guards. And think Jayson goes ham on them.

We played those without Dillon Brooks. The guy who would guard Luka

Brooks played in two of those games. We were 1-1 when he played and 0-1 when he played and Doncic also played.
Grizzlies were alittle banged up. In my opinion it was more mental for them. This is the type of series they need to learn from. Need a tough series like that to get you over the hump and compete for championships

Ja missed one too. I just don’t think we would have had a problem with them
Hee hee,,, Celtics outlasted their old arses.

welp...warriors roasted their young arses

on to the parquet floor!
The 2-2-1-1-1 Finals game format is really going to get these teams some frequent flyer miles. I know the longest time they used the 2-3-2 format to save on alot of the cross country travel in between games.

If they had to fly commercial they would do it 4-3. 03-lmfao
Despair not, the future looks rosy. It took even GS time to achieve their greatness and the Griz are in a terrific position to emulate the Warriors' success, IMO.
This is how it could've turned out...

Game 1
Morant makes buzzer-beater layup - Grizz up 1-0
MEM 118 - GSW 117

Actual
Morant misses layup
GSW 117 - MEM 116 Grizz down 0-1

Game 2
MEM 106 - GSW 101

Could've been Grizz up 2-0 heading to San Fran
Actual Grizz split 1-1

Game 3
GSW 142 - MEM 112

Could've been Grizz up 2-1
Actual Grizz down 1-2

Game 4
Grizz ahead entire game until less than 1 min to go.
Curry flops & negates Grizz go-ahead bucket
GSW 101 - MEM 98

Could've been Grizz up 3-1 heading back to Memphis
Actual Grizz down 1-3

Game 5
MEM 134 - GSW 95

Could've been Grizz wins series 4-1
Actual Grizz down 2-3

The Grizzlies should've beaten the Warriors in 5. And that's playing sub-par Grizz ball.

As we know in basketball it's all about matchups.

The Grizz matched up great against the Warrios.

But we didn't match up well against the Mavs.

As it turns out the Mavs didn't match up well against GS.

I would've rather have played Phoenix in the western finals than Dallas.
I have to begrudgingly give the Warriors credit, they closed out game #4 last night in Boston in stellar form to even the series at 2-2.
