As C-USA continue the expand in the future, what new teams should be added? A combination of teams between the A-SUN and the WAC?
Moved to realignment section with all the other realignment threads of the same topic.
I'm not familiar with who all is now in the A-Sun and WAC. What are your thoughts?

Numerous schools have been mentioned for months in countless threads....Kennessaw, EKU, UTC, MoSt, Tarleton, SFAustin, and others. It appears the CUSA is content with 9 for now until further movement occurs on the next few years.
First we work on Army for a while. Then, after CUSA gains momentum we bring in a couple of SBC schools.

Army is not coming to C-USA. lol nor a SBC school. Hell FCS schools don't want to come TBH

Few would argue with you that Army wouldn't come to CUSA and neither would any SBC teams, however, the fact two FCS schools have accepted invites and at least two others have made presentations to CUSA hoping for invites definitely proves your last point wrong.

Jones, have you finally come to terms with the fact that KSU isn’t good enough to go CUSA/FBS? Or the fact that the FCS is better anyways?

How KSU is not good enough to go to C-USA when they have more money the JSU, SHSU, and NMSU and they beaten JSU 3 times and LU once in football. lol

I'm not familiar with Kennesaw States history. Seriously. All I know about you guys is that you're in the Atlanta Metro area and have a huge student population. Ya'll may be an awesome add to CUSA in the future but I'd like to hear more about your basketball and football programs, successes, etc.

Sir, with all due respect to Kennesaw State, you average like 4000 fans which is even more embarrassing than our attendance and play in a crappy soccer stadium that nobody goes to. Sorry, beating the worst JSU teams of the last decade doesn’t change that (nor does a win over Liberty in 2017, the same year you were eliminated by the KATS).

Besides FCS is better anyways. Not sure why you’re anxious to move.

KSU stadium just had Atlanta United play in it and just hosted the 7v7 college rugby tournament but it is "crapy"? KSU stadium is the nicest in the ASUN but it is "crapy"? You do know that KSU stadium has professional teams pay KSU to play in it and there stadium is way nicer than SHSU stadium. Your point does not make any since especially when you can just look the stadiums up on google.

KSU has beaten JSU when they were rank in the top 10 twice.

KSU does not record paid attendance unlike other schools which use payed attendance to increase their numbers. Plus the NCAA does not enforce the attendance policy because if they did half of the G5 would be in the FCS. That is the reason why they use paid attendance numbers. lol

C-USA need bowl ready teams and there is not that much from the FCS that are left other then KSU.

Jones682, ignore SammyH. He is a troll. FCS is great and enjoy being able to actually play for a national championship because once you move FBS it is only about money and playing for bowl games. It will do wonders when it comes to marketing the U from TV and media perspective however, you will pretty much be relegated to never playing for a national championship ever. NY6 is not out of the question but C-USA has a lot to prove as a conference before that is on the table for any of us. Kennesaw has a good chance of going FBS in the future but you need to get out of a soccer stadium and build an actual stand alone football field. Hopefully you guys can replace SHSU and JSU as the powerhouse teams in the south otherwise Montana and the Dakotas will continue to run the FCS for years to come.

A stadium is a stadium there are FBS teams that play in a soccer stadiums. KSU stadium is good enough it just need to be expanded. An expanded 5th third bank stadium (KSU Stadium) would still look nicer then some C-USA stadiums.

That's great if that works for y'all but I would not want my football team playing in a soccer stadium. I'm not a huge fan of Frisco's stadium hosting the FCS Championship. I know SHSU's stadium is far from mediocre to be completely honest but we have something better coming down the pipeline once an announcement is made. It is also nice knowing that the stadium is yours and doesn't need to be shared with other sports. But to each their own.

KSU owns their stadium BTW. A stadium does not make a team. Look at Cincinnati they play in a soccer stadium and they made the CFP and going to the Big 12.

Yes but KSU has never been a semifinalist or even a clear top 5 team. They just play in a weak conference against weak opponents. If SHSU played in the Big South they'd never lose a game. 03-lmfao

There are a few reasons to consider KSU in expansion. Beating JSU a few times and winning a couple of playoff games aren't one of them. Also, EKU and UCA both have better stadiums than your soccer field, which drew less than 2k fans for a PLAYOFF GAME. #NoFBS
KSU has good enough sports teams, a good geographical area, and money. What they have not shown is interest from the administration in FBS. Their football stadium seems to be woefully inadequate for FBS. Furthermore, their fan support has been lackluster at times. Watching Liberty play basketball at KSU and at EKU, and by a mile, EKU had the much more lively, better crowd.

I can't speak for their basketball fans, but in defense of KSU fans overall, they're pretty good, especially when they 1) know the opponent and 2) have something tangible to play for.

They're also an excellent team to hate.

None of us really know what's gone on behind closed doors in discussions between KSU and CUSA, so this is all speculation, but if KSU's administration has expressed an interest in joining, the onus is on them to follow through while still at the FCS level.

It's not enough to have a "master plan" containing nice facility upgrades... you have to have broken ground on several of those facilities. If that's happening in Kennesaw, then it's just a question of numbers and timing on CUSA's end.

I still believe they're waiting for JSU and SHSU to get farther along in their transition before adding more FCS teams. (Again, speculation.) This gives schools like Tarleton, SFA, EKU, and KSU a chance to make (or continue) tangible upgrades to their facilities, budget, and staffing. The further along those upgrades go, the easier it will be for CUSA to pull the trigger. (The nice thing is, such upgrades should help in recruiting, which should boost your rankings across the board, further strengthening your case to move up.)

If any school is hesitant to make those upgrades while in FCS, they may be left behind, when/if expansion comes around again. It's a gamble.

The Liberty game was postpone there for the crowd was low. The crowd for EKU at home and JSU was high
