Thread to keep track of volleyball's 2022 schedule.
Have only seen 2 games announced so far.
Sept. 7 vs Houston Baptist
Nov. 12 at MTSU
At least we get to play a regular season match against WKU this year. I'm hoping Genny schedules at least 2 (and, preferably, 3 - 4) matches against Top 25 opponents (other than WKU).
I think they are playing at Oregon in a season opening (or early season) tournament. Should be highly ranked teams as opponents to start the year.

I wish we'd schedule Stanford who almost always travels to Austin early in the season to play UT. Stanford spends the first month of the season on the season starts late August and their classes don't start until the 3rd week in September. They typically play 6+ top ranked teams, which usually includes annual trips to BYU, Nebraska, Penn State, Texas, Minnesota and several others.
FYI, WKU is the tournament host this year.

I suspect that even without Nicole, and with Mathews and Briggs returning for WKU, we'll be the higher ranked squad this year. I believe we greatly improved our back court defense with our recruiting class and bring back everyone except Nicole, whereas WKU lost their other 4 starters (including the all-important setter and libero), as well as a couple other rotation players.

Must have been a home & home agreement with LSU, as they came to Tudor last year and we both played Sam Houston at Tudor that same weekend. I wonder if we'll be playing UH in Baton Rouge.

Games are part of the Tiger Classic which also includes Samford. Rice vs LSU will be on the 27th.

Per usual, Rice will be hosting two tournaments. The 2nd tournament will include Creighton and Kansas State.
Creighton is coming off a 31-4 (RPI 11) season and won the Big East. Kansas State was 15-13 (RPI 54).

Forgot to mention that this will be Sept. 17-18.

Interesting, as I believe this is after conference play has begun. One would have thought that our games against Baylor and UT would be either before conference play or the week between the end of regular season conference play and the conference tournament. I'm assuming the UT match will be back in Austin this year.
Wish we could play Nebraska or Iowa sometimes. They have a large fan base.
Looks like the first Rice tournament will be Sept. 9-11 and will have matches vs Texas Tech (RPI 43 last year), Brown (RPI 72), and A&M-CC (RPI 104). All teams made the tournament this past year.

Definitely coming in for that one given September 10th in the football home opener.
Well this sets up an interesting situation. Rice has to travel to WKU on Nov. 10 for the regular season finale. The conference tournament starts Nov. 18.

We had 2 full weeks after the regular season before the CUSA tourney last year.
