JRsec and I have discussed ways to keep the threads on this board relevant. This is particularly an issue for the time between the end of March Madness and the start of college football games in August, though these rules that we have come up with for this topic will apply year-round.

Rule #1: College Sports and Conference Realignment is a board for topics that are either realignment-related or relevant to at least a large number of college teams if not all of them. Specific ≠ General. A thread that is entirely or almost entirely related to a single school or conference will be moved to a more appropriate board. The same goes for threads that are not related to college sports at all.
Rule #2: A thread that appears to fit into Rule #1 and also appears to be posted on CS&CR to troll or bait others will be either unapproved or moved to the appropriate team or conference board. Anyone starting a troll thread will be warned, and if the trolling is repeated, banned from the CS&CR board.
Rule #3: If someone tries to get cute and add 1% of general relevance to a thread that is 99% within Rule 1 and/or 2, then the moderators will apply those rules and/or warn the thread-starter.
