I just got back from the grocery store where I spent 216 dollars and I cant tell you how disappointed I am out the amount of groceries that bought.

My wife spends about the same on groceries... but now she goes 3 times per week instead of once. Absolutely ridiculous.

When I saw the thread title I was hoping the shocking admission was that she told everyone she was in over her head and her IQ was that of an eggplant.

I just can't comprehend how unprepared she sounds to field the most simplistic of questions.

It's gotten to the point that when shopping for groceries one has to forgo the items that are not food related but just snacks. One way of easing the pain is to buy items that come in one pound bags like rice, beans, pastas, or potatoes, etc. Can goods are also must buy.

Also it's a must to not throw away left overs like many people do. We don't and we schedule them for another days meal. My neighbors (which really don't need to do that, honestly, us either but I consider it a sin to throw away good food) don't eat leftovers. You have to be like Chef Pippin who fixes some great meals with leftovers and we need to start doing the same thing.

yepper … this past Tues. it was a thirty buck bill for 3 lbs of ground chuck, 1 lb of tater salad, and a sack of Lays for the USM vs. SELA baseball game on the back 40 … that’s a 50% increase due to the fkbags in less than 1.5 yrs…
