Dawn Staley's Gamecocks essentially dominated UConn to claim their 2nd National Title and help Re-establish SEC dominance since the passing of Pat Summitt and did it in a way those great Tennessee teams never quite achieved. They controlled UConn start to finish. The defense was smothering at times.

Dawn Staley in all likelihood would have 3 national titles if not for the aborted COVID season.

So, a heartfelt, "Thank You!" for South Carolina, and a hearty, "We're proud of you!" on behalf of the SEC!

South Carolina worked Connecticut from the opening whistle. The game was never really close.

A lot of pride in South Carolina on the success of the Gamecocks women's basketball team. I did get to see one home game in person this year.
