Not being nitpicky---just want to clarify that Kortney is committed to NIU.

Announcement on Kirkwood's WBB twitter page;
"I’m excited and blessed to announce my commitment to Northern Illinois University where I will continue my education and basketball career. I want to thank my teammates and coaches at Kirkwood for making this possible. All glory to God! Go Huskies!

Though her stats don't jump at you, it looks like she has big game experience. Sounds like a good pickup for NIU WBB.

She comes from a great program. I believe they have won 8 national championships.

Seems like a "Monty" type signing. Signing to fill the roster, because you have no other options Poor 3 pt. shooting and not a big scorer or assist person.

The positive with her, is that she comes from a winning program and she helped Kirkwood CC win a national championship.

Yes. D II not D I NJCAA. Just seems to fill a hole not a recruit to move program forward.

Stat's aren't great, but she's got height, she's got brains (academic all big-10), and she plays 12ish minutes a game. Hopefully in the MAC she can get some more points and help the team down low.

I agree, but maybe there's something special and she can help the team in other ways, if not, maybe we need to look at other coaching options, since we seem to hover around .500

She was ranked the number one high school player in Wisconsin as a senior.
