Not anymore. PSU will probably face backlash for such a non-diversity hire.

I heard that golf carts were not drivable on the rough terrain of Mount Nittany, so STF pulled out of the running.
Maybe STF initially got the job, but Penn State did not want to wait 9 months until NIU HR announced his resignation. Paperwork! Damn paperwork!!!

Dammit, I was ready to email PSU's administration a detailed list of all of STF's accomplishments.

It is ironic that the new AD at Penn State Kraft hired Carey at Temple.

Kraft's hires at Temple included current Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz, who left to become the head coach at Miami shortly after taking the Temple job. He also hired Geoff Collins after Rhule left for Baylor, and Collins had two bowl seasons before leaving for Georgia Tech. Kraft's hire to replace Diaz in 2019, Rod Carey, sputtered out in just three seasons.

You kind of wonder if Rodney saw that same trajectory of head coaches from Temple and thought that Temple might be the springboard for him as it had been for the previous coaches. He was probably thinking to himself when he signed the Temple contract, " Should I take the Notre Dame job or the Alabama job when they come calling?"
If we're lucky Boston College will backfill with S.T. "new infield turf -yay!" Frazier. Fingers crossed.
No way BC picks up PSU's leftovers. Makes them look second class.

He wouldn't go because they wouldn't pronounce his vehicle as a golf cart . They would call it a golf cahhtt.
Plus he does not know how to navigate circular intersections with his golf cahhtt.
