This is my main concern, but I suppose you don't turn this kind of talent down, even if it means a bit less playing time and development for a kid like Skillings.

I don't worry too much about Reed/Skillings, as freshmen they should come in with the understanding that minutes will be hard to earn. But I do worry about minutes overall and how that will effect team chemistry. Even without Nolley I wonder if Wes can keep everyone happy, with Nolley, one or two players are going to end up on the bench who aren't expecting to be there.

I know Wes says he doesn't promise minutes, but it still seems like a concern. Don't want to see a guy leave mid-season because he's not in the situation he thought he'd be in.

I don't want to sacrifice the future in order to be slightly better this year. I could see guys like Vik, Ody or Hensley transferring out if they end up being bench guys this year. Hopefully Miller can keep everyone happy and develop our high potential players while putting a quality team on the floor.

Of course I think the guys most likely to end up on the bench are Phinisee and Ezikpe and I wouldn't have a problem with that.
hopefully nolley landers here. there could be a pocket somewhere in the shoe of the outlanders much akin to doss's being a charter member of the quad squad. nil's can't buy you fan clubs. maybe they can
McNiel to Ohio State...looks like it's Nolley or bust.

Remember though, Wes plays a lot of players. The best guys play in the upper 20s, so everyone will play minutes. With a full year under CWM's belt, I doubt this rotation philosophy is a secret anymore.

UC also reportedly not a finalist for Detroit transfer Antoine Davis. So yeah Nolley is clearly Plan A at this point.

I think Nolley is the best fit of the three anyways - longest and most versatile player.

Is there any published reaction from Nolley regarding his time in our fair city this past weekend?

I'll choose to translate that as "it's time to commit after having my mind blown at UC"

Or it is time to commit elsewhere and save my sanity!
Landers Nolley committing at 5 pm tomorrow. Certainly looks good for the home team..

DDJ is going to look like Spud Web out there when Skillings and Prolly Nolley are on the floor with him.

Is NC State UC's competition?

Yeah but it certainly looks like it'll be UC. Nolley would be a great add and would create so much lineup flexibility.

He was first team all AAC as a sophomore in 2020-2021 and his production dipped a bit this past year when they added Tyler Harris, Emoni Bates, Earl Timberlake, Josh Minott, etc. He was still pretty damn good in conference play though averaging over 11 mpg, 4 rpg and 3 asg on 44/39/81 shooting splits.
I haven’t seen him play much. Someone compare his game/physical gifts to a former Bearcat.

It's tough - we haven't had many 6'7 wings with his shooting ability. Maybe a poor mans Jacob Evans?

Looking just at the stats that seems fair. Statistically Evans did almost everything a bit better than Nolley and I'd guess also defended better as well.

He's being called a 21st century Bob Wiesenhahn.

Bob was 6’4” with a football build and a linebacker attitude.
i entered the portal a minute ago and noticed, well, i thought the deal was you could only transfer once without having to sit out
