Back on topic. Any issues between posters take up with the mods.
I think Hensley, Newman, and even Davenport would be MUCH improved if we found a way to create more space on the offensive side of the ball. Need to get a solid shooter, a drive/kick guy (who can actually make layups), and a big who can occupy a post defender and not have 6 inch hands.

(Ducks head and runs out of the room before catching an eraser to the head for trying to be on topic)
Xavier Foster, a former Top 70 guy, and 7'0" Center from Iowa State was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing for the case that got him dismissed from ISU...any chance we tell him there are 30 minutes a game he may like in Clifton?
Ladarius Brewer. Perhaps a guy Wes knows well from the SOCON.

6’5” scoring guard that shoots at a decent % from behind the arc. Was 1sr ream last year and second team this year.

I agree. But, the first thing I think regarding Newman, is that he'll REALLY improve, if he can remain healthy. You can obviously say the same about Vik.

No one named "Xavier" should be allowed to play for UC! 05-nono (kidding)

Our current inside guys seem so weak. Weak hands, weak offensive moves. Never seen guys get so little from a possession at the rim.
Will Wade gone, any chance Tari comes back? Or I guess he might go to the NBA anyway.

Based on our recruiting since 2017, we aren’t going to offer him the money that others schools are willing to pay.

Tari is going pro

Yeah...he's a borderline lottery pick at this point.
So many of the big games this weekend highlighted the importance of the portal for teams that want to succeed. It’s now just as important as high school recruiting. Not all of them were the huge transfers that the portal detractors decry, but that is the point. They fit and they have an impact on games that matter.

Virginia Tech gets 19 points against Duke from its 6’9”power forward from Wofford.

Arizona gets huge contributions from 2 guys who rode the pine last year at Gonzaga and Utah.

Johnny Juzang and Myles Johnson are starters for UCLA coming from UK and Rutgers.

3 of A&M’s starters transferred in this past offseason from Wyoming, Va Tech and Duke.

Boogie Ellis from Memphis put up 27 points for USC against a very good UCLA perimeter defense.

On and on and on…these were just games I watched.
Storm Murphy was also huge for vt. He was a second year player for Wofford in 2019 when they won a tournament game and then played Kentucky tough.

UC’s best players were too. I would argue your top 3. DDJ, Newman, and Ado. Worst players were guys Brannen reached on to fill out the roster during his two years.

Basically only recruit top 150 guys or better and hit the portal. No reaches or projects.
I agree with the exception that DDJ is not likely a guy Wes would have brought in on his own to play his system. That was an inheritance.

I think ddj is built for a Cane Broome 2018/2019 role. He'd be a huge weapon in that kind of role with the other threats on the floor.

Related to this, there are reports that Ben Howland has been termed. That means four SEC coaches (mizzou, GA, LSU and MSU) in addition to a number of other p5 openings (MD, K-State). Every coach that gets his papers is another opportunity for Coach Miller and his staff to recruit potential transfer talent to Cincy.

The ATHJETIC is reporting that Wes is a candidate for the LSU job. Wes isn't crazy is he?

Yeah, but Fickell is their top choice.
