Well I’m finally getting to use the tickets I bought in January of 2020. Couple of observations.

Tower City is pretty much a ghost town.. only a few stores open, only three restaurants in the food court, the Starbucks that used to do $100,000 per week is out of business as the foot traffic off the rapid transit is way down. The lights aren’t even fully on. Amazing what a virus can do.

Also Toledo being 21-4 and the one seed can’t even fill 1 section with fans. They used to bring a lot more and with a good mens team that makes even more amazing. They are struggling against Ohio only up 4 with 7 minutes left.
That is interesting, but not surprising about Tower City. I read where there is some sort of fan experience scheduled there throughout the week. I wonder if that will be worth a stop tomorrow? Did you happen to walk through the foodcourt? If so, were there many options open? In other words, is there a operating McDonalds?

It looked like they were setting up a fan experience but nothing going on today. Usually isn’t on womens quarterfinals day. I saw a salad place, a pseudo Chinese place, and a sandwich place. I think Suzy’s sandwich and soup place was open away from the food court. Didn’t see McDonalds but I walked through pretty quickly. Will be going back through in a few hours I’ll report out if I see anything of interest.
Walked back through and the fan experience was about to start. A few more food places open (pizza) and a few temporary set-ups associated with the fan experience. The side towards the Terminal Tower is still dark though.

Toledo beat Ohio 80-67 pulling away in the last 5 minutes

Ball St down 27-11 early in 2nd period but outscored NIU 49-27 to win 60-54. Nice win for former KSU asst. Brady Sallee.
