So I work with a guy that decided he wanted to run for the US Senate. When he figured out I was registered to vote in the state he was running in, he asked for me to campaign for him, even gave me a shirt. Stated who he was and what he was running for, no state mind you.
This guy in my opinion does not have the sense to pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.
A few weeks he was complaining because he wasn't getting the attention of others in his party. So I asked him, what was he campaigning on. He said huh? I said what's your platform? What do do you stand for, what are you gonna do for me? What are your policies?
Gee I don't know.. Um.. I've got some cards in my office that outlines all that, let me go get them and review them again.
So if he had my vote, he would've lost it.
Earlier this week we were talking and he asked about the area I lived. Told him it was nice, out in the country away from everything. He said I may wanna look into that area, are there any houses for sale. Nope. Not a single one. Nobody wants to leave.
At this point he lets me know he's suspending his senatorial campaign, he just didn't have the support he thought (when I looked him up, he'd only raised $5k and spent most of it already). Told him I was sorry to hear it. He said yea, did you campaign for me? I sure did, I campaigned as hard for you as I would've any other jabroni who was running on the same issues you outlined for me... But I never told you what I was running on...
