Im ready to get pumped up for some Football
I think it's usually around March 1.
Whenever we get it back from ESPN. Deadline to send it to the 4 letter is this week. March 1 is typical
Does ESPN request changes and SBC typically says "done" or there are some back and forth conversations on the topic?
If it is based on where we last played and if it rotates back it might look something like this in the West for Southern Miss!

@Troy (Played in Hattiesburg 2021)
@Louisianna (Played in Hattiesburg 2008)
@Louisiana - Monroe (Played in Hattiesburg
Arkansas State (played @ Arkansas State in 2008)
South Alabama (Played @ South Alabama 2021)
Texas State (played @ Texas State in 2015)

If these two are our East Opponents it could work out like this

@App State (played in Hattiesburg in 2014)
Old Dominion (played in Norfolk in 2016)

Typically yes, but as I pointed out earlier, there's a conflict with USM entering a year early. They are due to play at Troy, but so are Arkansas State, Texas State, and ULM. Obviously all 4 schools can't play at Troy, so they'll have to play on the road somewhere twice in a row.

Of those 3:

Texas State last played at Troy in 2020
AState last played at Troy in 2019
ULM Last played at Troy in 2015!

Obviously, they aren't losing the ULM home game. The easiest home game to mess with is probably Texas State's, but then one has to ask the question of whether the Bobcats could travel to Southern Miss that year in exchange and it not interrupt a bunch of other home road swings.

Long story short, there's no way for the entire West to schedule without someone going somewhere twice in a row. most likely Troy has to be that team as they are due 4 home games from West schools.

Since 2015 Troy and ULM have only been scheduled together three times and one of those was canceled by covid. The other two games were played in Monroe in 2017 and 2021. I don't know why that is but expect things like this...fewer matchups with teams from opposite divisions...to come. Theoretically you might find yourself playing a team from the opposite division maybe three times max in ten years!

At this point im good with however it plays out.
BUT the biggest eruption yet will take place when that schedule drops.

I seriously doubt they’re going to look back more than a year or two for guidance, and certainly not back to 2008.

The current plan will see you face the entire conference 3 times in 9 years...That will be an adjustment for sure.

It will be March 1

Any SBC schools have an example of your schools including home and away games as part of their season tickets?

This needs a conference wide push and will help build the conference.

Maybe have a conference award for the best road warriors.

In the 2020 season, AState had an option in the season ticket package to purchase tickets to the road game at Memphis. But Covid hit and that plan was dumped. We've not tried anything since, most likely because all of our opponents most years are 5 plus hours down the road.
Rotating BOTH crossover every year is the right move
One day we're going to all find out that Keith Gill secretly posted on this message board for years and no one knew it...

Even bigger shock is when find out Keith Gill is actually in disguise as an A-State fan with the username chiefsfan and you’ve… I mean “he” has been playing the long game on the SBC message boards long before he become commissioner. 04-chairshot
I’d imagine previous games won’t be taken in account at all. They’re gonna try to fit conference games around existing out of conference games, and that’s nightmare enough.

We play at Memphis this year and that option wasn't offered. I wish it was.
