Finally got to see the real Chandler Lawson last night. The kid needs to be on the floor. His basketball IQ is through the roof, pointing, directing on defense, just plain organizing the team on the floor. Really glad he came back, not to mention that he really reminds me of Keith Lee in a way...
For the most part he played in control and didn't try to do too much or play hero ball. I liked seeing him in there.
He was very valuable last night.
I was impressed with his game. Good effort and skill.

If he shows he can be a high level rebounder on the defensive end I say play him in front of Malcolm.

They had very similar numbers in the same amount of minutes with Malco edging Chandler out on points and rebounds, barely. Chandler did have 1 more steal and 2 less turnovers.

Just the fact that Chandler isn't nearly as turnover prone as Malco is enough IMO to recommend him over Malco even if Chandler does give up 2 inches and 35 pounds to Malco.
This doesn’t fit the meme for many, but I say it’s good that we’ve got a healthy Malcolm. We’ve needed him.
And I never saw much spark in chandler’s game before, but he was all in last night. Glad to have a deep bench.
Other than his ill-advised three-pointer, CLawson played well last night. He hustles, positions himself effectively and (as one poster noted) seems to communicate on the court. And his long arms (there is the Keith Lee element) are very helpful.

CL will be a key contributor to next year's team with Duren and DW gone.
There was a 3 on 1 break last night that Lawson defended perfectly. Didnt commit to the ball handler, hung back just enough where they couldnt make the pass and had to turn back out which allowed the rest of our team to get back in position.

i mentioned earlier it was nice to see Chandler again, i was afraid he would sit out the year.

Chandler is not particularly quick or fast, doesn't jump through the roof or make the spectacular play, but he plays the game well. He seems to make the right pass, be in position, rebound well.... all the things that make the team better.

A team of 6 of these type of guys with a couple of "stars" would be awesome.. i'm glad he's here, and hope his little brother has the same head on his shoulders.
The Dude had a nice game, hopefully his minutes increase
Maybe I’m the only one who never thought much of his game. At all. Still don’t.

He aint ever going to be a star.

But he can fill a role.

Same. He wasn't abysmal last night, but I saw more flaws than positives. That said, the flaws will work themselves out with time & experience.
One positive that I saw was he wasn't pouting on the floor nearly as much as he was when he had minutes at the beginning of the season. His attitude was greatly improved last night.
Chandler can defend, block shots, rebound, and sometimes lead the break. He's basically Deandre without the scoring. Glad he's playing. We need him

Lol. Absolutely. I’m wrong all the time. Maybe I’m wrong about Chandler.
Just don’t think he is very talented. At all.
The Dude has hustle and court sense, could be a huge plus among the 5 stars

Who do you prefer have the ball in their hands at crunch time down 2 with less than a minute to go, Lawson or Bates?
