A game against WKU always scares me but I hope there's very little contest.

We've won there before:

Statistical runs that I use to make predictions. I don't pick winners based on feelings.

WKU is struggling as of late so this may be a bounce back game for them. UAB did drop one on the road to Rice so they are vulnerable on the road like every other CUSA team.
Might make it 5 straight losses after this week....Although knowing Rick he probably will upset UAB...

I have a feeling that's what's coming for us.
I like FAU's road run.

Your “statistical runs” have so far picked Charlotte to win every game (7 of 7). Sounds like they may need some recalibration.

WKU on the road will be a very tough game. We haven't played well in the 2nd game of these 2 games in 3 days trips either, so Marshall isn't a guarantee by any means.
As much as I hate to say it, no way UAB goes 3-0 this week. Losing on Thursday feels much more likely after the LA Tech win.

I tend to agree. It’s not the toughest stretch on paper, and that’s probably what concerns me the most. Realistically, getting out of this stretch 2-1 is just fine. If we somehow do pull off a 3-0 week, ending the season with 2-3 conference losses becomes a real possibility.

We will defeat WKU.

We are going to pound Marsha like a Greg Brady fantasy.
What's been WKU's issue this year? I'm surprised to see you guys struggling this much.

Teams shooting better from 3 in game than warm ups against us. Leaving shooters wide open, slow on the wings. Rebounding has been dreadful and we only play 6 guys, 2 of which couldn't guard me...So another words, a normal Rick coached team...

Not true. Look at last week. If you are going to try to bash me for stuff at least do a little homework. Otherwise, you just look foolish.

Lack of depth and zero post play is the biggest issue right now. Rick banked our entire season on a top 50 freshman PG and Cincy transfer, both of which are now confirmed to never play for us. Most had them both pegged as starters. Sharp has been a nice surprise. At 7'5 we figured he could get some things done but most fans thought he would be a 10-15 minute a game guy max. He's averaging about 32 minutes a game now and essentially has to be on the floor for us. He's in a slump right now but still leads the nation in blocked shots. We got Jaylen Butz from Depaul as a double digit scorer and expected him to solidify the post - he has turned out to be one of the worst and laziest big men to ever put on a WKU uniform. We got Jairus Hamilton to transfer in from Maryland and started the season on absolute fire averaging 18 a game. He hurt something in his back 2 months ago and has been a shadow of himself since. We play 6 guys, 7 if we really have too. We aren't athletic enough to guard you man. If you pull Sharp away from the hoop, we have zero rim protection or rebounding. We try to play zone to keep him in the paint but we rotate too slow and leave shooters wide open. We are honestly an above average offensive team, but our defense has a hard time guarding even below average teams. Even with all of this, we threw away a 17 point lead at Tech to lose by 1 and had one of the worst shooting performances from 3 in program history in a 5 point loss to UNT. I will not be shocked in the least if we beat UAB on Thursday after going 0-2 in Florida. I don't think it will happen, but it's what Rick does.
