Had to switch computers for this one to make sure my company email is not connected. We won a game we lost a game, Hard to win on the road!
Emoni and Fedex Memphis are not doing anything spectacular.
Football players jump in and out of the portal like re-spawning in 007 golden eye.
Caleb Williams still hasn't said no for game above million dollar offer...
College baseball might be the only baseball we get until May, June, Fourth of July?

Would not be surprised if Emoni transfers. Not sure if the FedEx deal will influence that though.

Emoni won’t transfer to EMU because he would have to be second fiddle to Farrakhan. Both are Pros but I would give Farrakhan the ball to decide the game over Emoni. Now in 3-5 years when Emoni has 25 more LBs on his frame, he may be overtake Farrakhan but next year my main young man, Noah gets the ball.

Yeah I wasn't suggesting that he would transfer to emu. I doubt gameabove or any company would offer enough cash to meet what his daddy/agent would be looking for anyway.

The only reason he would transfer to a mid-major would be the opportunity to rack up some serious stats for the NBA.
Not EMU related but Jason Candle reportedly the top candidate for the Miami FL OC Job.

Many Toledo fans, will help him pack.
For those who accept the validity of these rankings, here is how MAC FB teams ranked and their bowl opponents.

My guess is that Emoni spends next year in the G-League since he'll still be too young to go to the NBA Draft and clearly everything going on at Memphis is a train wreck.

IF he stays at FedEx U my guess is he pulls a James Wiseman and only plays to the point that he has a good draft stock and then bails on the season.

Emoni's life was to start fast, try to go faster, skip steps, and go faster yet.

He would have been well advised to be a 'normal' teenager, albeit one with very good athletic skills.

Its too late now. He can't retrace his steps and be a senior at Ypsi Lincoln. Students should not be skipping grades, etc. unless they are 3 (or at least 2) standard deviations above the mean (those are the students who can take the ACT and score say 33+ and get into the most selective universities).

Great lPost Steve!

Emoni was the number one rated player as a freshman-Sophomore at Ypsilanti Lincoln. He got all of the recognition anyone could want. But his dad and others chasing fame and glory to be a millionaire asap.

He will end up a fine pro and millionaire but I ponder the great high school memories he never experienced trying to grow up too fast.

For his sake, I hope he doesn't get too far ahead of himself and flame out.

If I were a NBA GM I would not draft him. Not sure he is ready physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. (I do realize he has one more year before being eligible for the draft).

I believe he just turned 18 this month. Hard to gage where he'll be physically in 2 years.

I've seen him play for Memphis and quite frankly he reminds me more of Antoine Joubert than Earvin Johnson. He has skills but he really wants to hang the three point line on offense and is very passive on defense. He avoids the paint and contact at all costs, his 6'9' length plays more like 6'4". He is still young, but he needs a lot of work and I don't think Penny is the guy to make him do so.

Larry WAS a great coach primarily in the NBA, a job that requires more "handling" talented athletes than developing them. At his age, I question how much he truly contributes to Memphis. Rasheed was your Dennis Rodman type head case player that Larry managed to "play on the team", I find it hard to believe he has any enduring coaching talent. Larry and Rasheed are there for ONE purpose, recruiting.
Emoni would have been better served to play for Izzo, a coach focused on honing his skills.

Then again, why would anyone want to go to MSU and compete with Joey Hauser, a guy that Bob Weaselsham bet $20K to us all that would be in the NBA this season? LOL!
