Looks like the Big Ten schedule was changed to let the top east division teams have a few easier games in November leading up to a big final game. Any of these four teams that can get through October with fewer than 2 losses should be in that same position going into the final week of the regular season.
Michigan's first 3 November games: Rutgers, Nebraska, Illinois
Michigan State's first 3 November games: Illinois, Rutgers, Indiana
Ohio State's first 3 November games: Northwestern, Indiana, Maryland
Penn State's first 3 November games: Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers

Not happy about that. These look like SEC schedules. This past year Ohio State and Michigan State played the second to last game of the season and Michigan and Penn State in November. When Michigan and Michigan State were both undefeated late it was great for the conference. You don't want to overload the Big Ten East teams in November but you also don't want to overload them in October either and have teams' season done early either. Was Florida really that bad this year or did playing Alabama in September lead to them feeling their season was over?

I thought the Big Ten was all about playing their best games at the end of the season?
As if that actually effects the quality of the team, but ya know...narrative and whatnot.
