Great update, thanks for sharing. What's encouraging here to me is that if this is close to accurate, even with an "okay offense" this team could still win 8 or 9 games against this schedule. But if the offense becomes a bit more dynamic (and/or scores lots more consistently on field goals) the upside is pretty exciting.

I would be surprised if Potter comes in and is a starter from day one. He has the physical tools, but remember he hasn’t played much the past three seasons and he coming off a foot and eye injury. He also is not familar with the system: My guess is he’ll be a #2, and start out playing limited snaps. Perhaps somewhere along the season it will all click for him and he becomes a #1, I just don’t see it right away.

Maybe, maybe not. I think he'll get plenty of snaps IF he is healthy. I really like the depth on the defensive line and in the linebacking group at this point. He doesn't need to start to be a big transfer.

lots to like in the secondary. i also wouldn't be surprised- if someone can reliably get them the ball- if this is one of better bearcat receiving corps. i consider the gunner kiel era to have the best crop. crops and corps carps and craps
I was going to keep Jackson first but figured with size and experience Potter may end up starting after a couple of games I’d not initially. D-Line is hardest for me on who will start and where. I also thought Jabari was strictly at nose but not sure on that. Briggs does seem to line up at nose mostly when he is out there.
I’m sure there are at least a few changes that will be needed once we get into summer ball so going to wait on further updates until then.

For what it is worth reports say he was healthy in spring practice and performed well. That time should have helped with rust removal.
is soph. OL Chris Collinsworth even in the equation for playing time? There was a tremendous response to UC signing him out of high school the year before. I thought he was red-shirted last year but the uc roster lists him as a soph this season.

I suspect you are right that he should be shown as an RSF, as I find no playing stats of any games much less over 4 games.

Jabari is pretty clearly a 3-4 end IMO...and I think he's going to be lining up there. He is not large enough to hold the nose, plus, Briggs has him by 30 pounds. Might actually end up forcing a 4-man front in some scenarios given the bulk and athleticism up there (combined with the relatively green secondary).

His entire career is predicated around writing about the Bearcats and he spends hours going to practices etc to get that information. If you want his opinion on the depth chart, you know where to find it. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free and all that.
