Basically confirms this was the best team in modern UC football. Moves ahead of 2009 and 2020.

Top 10 Back to Back!

Excellent. While i'd make an argument we were better than Michigan. I'll take #4.
Bearcats at 4. AP poll consistently gave this team the utmost respect and we still had people think UC would drop to like 8.
A playoff spot is basically like a Final Four. This is UC’s greatest athletic accomplishment since either spending 12 weeks at number 1 in the rankings in 2000 basketball season or the 1992 Final Four. The 2009 BCS ranking of number 3 would also be under consideration too but I think the playoff spot was a bigger deal.

UC’s athletics has done pretty much everything in the last 30 years but win a national title in a major sport.

Over UC’s entire athletics history there is so much to be proud of. Only a select group of big money elites have had more overall success.
I guess that's what happens when your only losses in two seasons are to Georgia and Alabama.
4th in the coaches as well.
Glad that we finished #4. I was one of the ones who thought that we'd be ranked lower (5 or 6). Glad to be proven wrong.
There were a few clowns who put us #7-8. I guess everyone has an agenda.
In the last 4 years 8 teams have finished every year in the Top 25. We are one of them! Average rank is displayed

Alabama Crimson Tide 3.25
Ohio State Buckeyes 3.50
Georgia Bulldogs 4.75
Clemson Tigers 5.00
Oklahoma Sooners 6.75
Notre Dame Fighting Irish 7.50
Cincinnati Bearcats 14.25
Iowa Hawkeyes 19.75
So, some of you may remember I had a beef with a few AP voters over the course of the season. All in good natured fun of course [yeah, right]. If I'm going to be critical of someone for their voting bias then out of fairness I will also point out when they get it right. Two voters stand out...

Nathan Baird - Cleveland.com

Jon Wilner - San Mercury News [San Jose, CA]

Baird is an Ohio State apologist but he ranked us #4 on his final ballot and Ohio St #6. Wilner voted us among the lowest rankings all year long but his final ballot has us #3.

I rest my case. 04-cheers
And this, my friends, is proof positive of the influence of the almighty UCGrad1992 lobby. 04-cheers

I think Mo had the first guy on his show. That was entertaining.

Dang, #4 is awesome!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that.
"ESPN staff" came out with their final rankings today and put OSU #4 and UC #5. The text to describe OSU is delusional at best. The bias is definitely real.

No real complaints from me. Glad the coaches/AP went the other way, but having OSU 4 in a final rankings is reasonable.

I remember that interview with Baird who mentioned the "grief" he received from Bearcat fans. Anywho, I agree about #4. That is historic and wonderful. That is a boon to our brand and to our recruits. Life is good!

This comment made me laugh..."why they could have been an interesting CFP threat". These guys are so deep into OSU they can't even see how ridiculously bad their defense was.
