The Razorbacks did what LSU couldn't do in 3 tries...beat Kansas.

What's the difference with this team? Here's just a hint....

We used 2 FRESHMAN pitchers against Kansas, while they used their ace.
Boyd Goodner (1-0) pitched for the first time ever at UA..and shuts em out.

And Coach Van Horn's reaction.... UNHAPPY!!!!

Van Horn - "We didn't do what we needed to do. Didn't hit well, didn't run the bases well... we just had good pitching come through when we needed it".

This team has a ton of confidence and a coach who demands absolute perfection out of them... and they give it all. Watching yesterday... our guys jumped, leaped, hustled...gave it all. Great win and a VERY positive sign heading into the SEC season.

I'm sure you'll get ranked. That's a great record....I keep thinking that we will end up ranked. But then we lose. I love being a Rebel, but our athletic department needs a wake up call some days. Being ranked to us is the kiss of death lately.

Our teams are slowly picking back up...

Football returns many for defense of our West Division title..and the new asst. coaches are really working hard already... the 5:00am practice...dang.

Basketball will be much better when Stan gets next year's class in... with a McDonald's All-American, the top 2 players in Arkansas, and a 7-0 monster, we should be much better.

Baseball is rolling, Women's hoops will be in the dance, Track is rolling, and I give our new gymnastics team credit...about to make the NCAAs with an all-freshman squad... very very impressive.

Things are looking up...just hope it stays that way.

I actually feel optimistic about our fball team for the fall...and the mere fact that I feel that way scares the crap outta me. I think I'm gonna start looking at sports like a Vandy fan. If we win, it's WONDERFUL. And if we lose, no big surprise and nothing to get upset over. So, I could just sit back and enjoy it for the wonderful thing that it is....a ballgame.

I've had that attitude all year in basketball.

i tried.....got pretty easy to be that way by the end of february...

but there was absolutely no excuse for us to suck so badly...had a good team last year and only lost 1 player. Ark had EVERY reason not to be on top.
