What’s really crazy is the Caleb Williams situation at Oklahoma. He was their starting QB and the guy he beat out has already left campus. He apparently told the OU coaches that he would like to stay, but it was business. Their boosters offered an additional 750k in NiL money and he told them that wasn’t enough.
Georgia supposedly offered significantly more than that, but that wasn’t enough.
In related news, Texas A&M boosters are on the hook for 30 million so far to secure the number 1 recruiting class.

This is going to turn into one of those dark movies, where the "kid" will get in so deep with the wrong people, and feel the pressure to deliver, rather than just be on the team. When the kid doesn't perform up to expectations, who knows what will happen and who will come knocking. It's one thing to sign an endorsement deal for photos, ads, etc, but its another thing to start taking booster "NIL" money with open-ended expectations.
This is what the kids and the politicians or lawyers who don’t even watch sports wanted. It’s on them if somebody gets hurt.
As far as Hawaii goes, Graham has been told to jump off a cliff on the way out of Pitt and Arizona state.
Like some players said, “you see how much they paid him to go away….”
...here's (hopefully) a link to a thread over on the 'national' board, in Conference Realignment / College Football... there's a poster there, Hawai'i Mongoose, who y'all probably have seen if you peruse that board - who has some decent insight on the situation:
Hawai'i Football troubles...
It's a moot point now, but this was in a Hawaii thread on Reddit /CFB from a guy flying a Tulsa flair: "I played for Todd Graham. I 1000% get where the Hawaii players are coming from."
