I had to look him up to see who he was as most of our defense was horrific and I just wanted to forget it all. Anyway, he was 20th on the team with 15 tackles, add in 1 sack and he started 3 games this season yet he’s going pro? 07-coffee3

That does seem odd. I wonder if he talked to the new DC and found out that his role is going to be effected by the change. But even that seems like a transfer portal situation and not a going pro situation. He has to know what happened to McKoy last year.

Apparently Kalil Pimpleton doesn't.

Who?

The MAC Special Teams POY from CMU. He is also a WR. Good player, but not gonna benefit from leaving early.
Thanks, dannyb73. Leaving early is OK for bona-fide virtually can't miss players. That way they can get some good money and not risk getting seriously injured in college ball. Other than that, as a former boss of mine used to say, "Rotsa Ruck!"
Speaking of going pro, I highly doubt this was what was intended regarding athletes to benefit from the NIL, and provides a horrible look to what we had to know was going on behind the scenes:

So you're saying if we add a 4th money game we could take the profits and offer it to one or two players from the team that slaughtered us if they come play for us the next year? This is the new plan!
Crum has been practicing for the Shrine Bowl game, and considered best QB there:

Big month and a half for Crum. I'm excited to see what he can do Thursday night.
I didn’t get to see the game, looking at the stats I’m guessing Crum didn’t have a great game. He was only 6-10 for 37 yards in the air, was their leading rusher with 5 carries for 29 yards, but also 2 fumbles (lost 1).

I watched his drives last night and the play calling was super conservative the first three drives. They had him under center for the most part. Three of those incompletes were dropped passes. The lost fumble was a dropped handoff. It didn't seem like the rb knew it was a running play. The second fumble he was trying to make something out of nothing and it went out of bounds. He did a good job of extending a few plays with his legs. He had one play where he should have been sacked but worked his magic and escaped.

Overall not a great showing by the whole offense while Crum was out there. I stopped watching after he was pulled so I don't know how things changed after that.
That's good to hear. I doubt a mix up on a handoff from players that haven't played together will stick on his resume. Especially since fumbling has never been an issue for him. How was the ball placement on the drops? Was he hitting them in stride?
I’ve seen various projections of Crum, and all have him late in the draft if at all. However, this one here seems to be extremely optimistic as they have him ranked 4th of the QBs. I don’t see that, I think he goes round 6-7, but hoping some NFL guy thinks similarly to these writers, all it takes is 1.

No way in hell NFL GM's have him in front of Ridder, Strong and Corral.
All the offseason moves the past week have made it a rough year to be a QB in the draft. 1996 was the last time a qb wasn't drafted in the first round with 2013 the last time only one qb was selected in the first round.
I’ve loved the Crum years at KSU but he’s not going to be drafted. I would be shocked if he’s on an NFL roster in the fall.
Crum was on Baskin and Phelps this morning at 11am.
