Until summer that would be Brady Lichtenberg and walk-on Jack Perry. True freshman Luther Richesson did not enroll early.

Pretty sure Jack Perry entered the portal, but I could be wrong.

I think you are right. Point I was making is this roster isn’t like the 2008 squad where there are 5 QB’s.

Oh for sure...only one "proven" D1 player at the moment.

He wasn't on Scholarship, so that's why they may not be tracking...but I think the source of this tweet is reputable for this topic:

Never understood why he came all the way from CA to pay his own way.

2019 JC
2020 Covid year
2021 Redshirt
So, 3 years of eligibility?

Pretty sure his family wasn't worried about the bill 03-lmfao

I believe you're right about 3 years. I'd imagine he ends up at an FCS.

Him switching to UC would add a little more drama to Indiana's visit to Nippert this fall.

Without knowing more, I have to wonder if Indiana's on-field performance last season will scare off blue chip recruits? The Hoosiers regressed to their norm--being the punching bag for divisional foes, OSU, MI, MSU, and PSU. Why would an elite prospect want to endure that for four years or more?
If he signed, he would have to use his free transfer to go to another school unless IU gave him a release...something they probably are not inclined to do unless there was a serious issue that caused his decommitment.

Article states he received it...
"Gi'Bran Payne of La Salle High School has opened up his recruitment after asking for and receiving his release from his national letter of intent to play football for the Indiana Hoosiers."

Which surprised me with this reasoning...
"I just want to explore options more," Payne said Tuesday morning. "Relationships weren't the same and kind of faded. There wasn't much communication there and it didn't feel as good anymore."

Notre Dame hiring Deland McCullough as RB coach away from Indiana might be a factor. BTW, ND also has LaSalle grad and ex-UC RB commit Jeremy Larkin working there as a defensive analyst.

I dont waste my money on the fish wrap, so I couldn't read it. Thank you for saving me more money, ever the vigilant CFO.
Heard on Chad’s BCJ podcast that Josh Whyle broke his foot at the end of the Cotton Bowl. He will likely not be participating in Spring practice.

It feels like he has been in some stage of injury for the last full year.

Dude, I know it’s part of your schtick, but why mess with BM? He gives us so much insight & information.

It feels like he has been in some stage of injury since he first arrived on campus.

Fixed your post.

Josh has been significantly injured just about every year. I still don’t think he was 100% at all last season.
