Bill Connelly is my favorite writer at ESPN, not necessarily because of the numbers but because of how much effort he puts into them. He literally went through every roster this year and tracked down player's twitter accounts and local team affiliates to find out what decisions were being made. Super refreshing.

Actually it comes from this site:

https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaaf/2022...er-ratings

And it's predicting even more ACC dominance than that top-20 list would suggest:

3 - Clemson
4 - NC State
6 - Miami
8 - Pitt
13 - FSU
18 - Virginia Tech
22- Louisville
27 - Notre Dame (not ACC but plays 5 games against ACC)
28 - UNC
38 - Wake Forest
45 - Syracuse
49 - Virginia
60 - Boston College
68 - Georgia Tech
118 - Duke
Every year Miami is predicted to be good and every year they suck. Manny Diaz went 21-15. Richt was 26-12. Golden was 32-25. Shannon was 28-22. They are struggling to be at around a 60% winning percentage over the last 15 years yet every year they are ranked in the top 10.

Go out on the College Sports and Realignment board. There are a lot of people who think football is "better' when the teams that were good in the 80s and 90s are playing at their best. CFB is "better" when the blue bloods are playing in the marquee bowl games-- in fact, they want to drop the bowl games down to early 1990s levels when schools like UC could go 8-3 and not get invited to a bowl. This mentality is why Miami, Nebraska and Texas get ranked so high every year (and in some case it takes a major tanking or them to ever be dropped out of the poll by the end of the year).

Yep, Miami appears to have a rolling life membership bestowed by the Mindless Ranking Club; most years Florida State and Texas enjoy similar preseason accolades before fading away.

It bothers me less since UC seems to have finally earned its way to great rankings in '21 and will get the benefit of the doubt in '22. Let's hope it continues for many years to come with Fickell at the helm. Then, in about 2042 after Fickell retires, fans from other schools can make the same complaint about the Bearcats being perpetually ranked for a few more decades.
Just imagine the energy in the locker room with these two coaches....

Based on last year the FB schedule should be released shortly.

Do not expect any favors.

Our twitter staff hits a lot of homeruns but am I the only one who thinks this one comes off as a bit more of an OSU promo at first glance?

I was kind of thinking the same thing. This is cool if you are an OSU fan, but as a Cincinnati fan, it would have been cooler if Zac Taylor won NFLCOY. 2 Cincinnati guys.

It was odd from a fan standpoint. But probably smart as UC continues to connect to Ohio State, the NFL, and into local Ohio pride.

This hits it in a nutshell.
We're probably not the target audience.
Love the weight room/gym rats in the offseason...

Fletch is a hell of a punter, but it's good to see that he's working hard in the weight room. Dude could definitely use some muscle lol. He looks like rookie-year Kevin Durant out there with football pads on.
The crazier ones to me are the speed tweets. Apparently Chamon Matayer, a TE, is the 3rd fastest player on the team which is...exciting...lol

Depends if that means the TE is fast or the rest of the team is slow.

His top speed in their last workout was apparently 20.85mph. He is FAST fast lol.
Basketball season ended last night, time for spring football!
