Already gonna be the case it seems. We aren’t only gonna lose to Houston from here on out. One thing though in this game we were without emoni, Duren, and Williams. That’s three starters

Until Penny puts his misplaced loyalty for Alo & the other locals aside, reduces his rotation & plays his best players with a consistent rotation, Memphis is doomed to inconsistency & a high rate of failure

The bolded red above is accurate as of today.

MEMPHIS has truly choked relatively easy games against Murray State, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tulane. The reward for ineptitude of that magnitude is to win the AAC Tournament to get in the NCAAT.

The TIGERS still have H&H games with Wichita State, Houston, Cincinnati, UCF, SMU, and ECU....all of whom have superior records today. I see 5 more losses in conference play right now.

Even IF the impossible actually happens and MEMPHIS somehow wins the AAC Tournament, the TIGERS are given probably a 10/11 seed with a record of about 23-10.

Memphis are the type of team that should just get healthy and run the tournament. They have the horsepower to win 4 in a row and get in that way.

We do seem to be better than our record. Our first 5 losses were by an average of 3.4 points, so while we've lost too many, they haven't been by much. Interesting that we've bounced back like this after an unexpected break due to COVID cases.
