This was written in July. Not sure if it has been posted already, so apologies if it has.
It gives a peek under the hood into the mindset behind why he views Ukraine as key to the geopolitical and economic stability of the region. The comparison between Germany/Austria and US/Canada is thought provoking. It also foreshadows why he's now mobilized a bunch of troops at Ukraine's border.
A lot of what we read here in the west is pushed by propagandists as it relates to Russia's motives for the region. It's interesting to read it directly from him. I wonder how we would feel if this was Canada, for example.
Do I trust him? Not even a little bit; however, he is sly and backs up his arguments with a large dose of historical representation. I've not had a chance to dig in yet on if his case is backed up by facts, but I do see the comparison he is making.
