While I don't agree with firing Penny, i do believe the University needs to address this issue. Penny lied and then tried to cover it up by saying he never thought about the covid conversation with the students again. I'm not buying that at all.

I love Penny, but this is crazy. The team is in constant contact with the public and just before leaving for Nashville, the team was handing out presents to children. Misleading people to think the team is mostly safe with a 90% vaccination rate is criminal. The university could be held accountable for any injury if it's able to be proven.

Your choice to get vaxed or not, but you cannot lie about your status. I believe that's why a law was passed regarding aids. Knowingly spreading the virus makes you accountable morally and legally.

I don't think he lied about it. I think he just didn't know or never bothered to check. Probably worse not knowing than lying though. He has to know how many players weren't vaccinated since it can greatly affect his team. He can certainly encourage them to get vaccinated.

Funny too that TigerSeth probably loved Kirk and Cal. I suppose because neither one of them ever lied.

One day you shot takers will get mad at your government for forcing something into your body that doesn't work and also needs everybody to take it in order for it to work. I identify as vaccinated though. I was born feeling vaccinated. Everytime I look in the mirror I see a vaccinated man although I didn't take the shots.

I don't know. I get the feeling Penny was lying, Aaron Rodgers style, to keep pressure off of the players who weren't comfortable getting the vax.

I have an "I don't blame him, but I do blame him" attitude toward it. I don't think he owes an apology. I'm more angry that it has come to the point that we can't have rational discussions anymore about issues that shouldn't have anything to do with politics. That is the root of the problem.

Correct. Anyone who believes taking the fake vax is keeping people safe is criminal.

The good news is that some on our team will have natural immunity, and they wont have to deal with Covid again, unlike those who are vaxxed, who will continue to have to get boosters that dont work.
