It’s a commuter school plain and simple. The students don’t care about athletics.

Yes they have a small good group of diehard fans like Tech and a few deep pocket donors but turning those 42k students and hundreds of thousands alumni into UNT fans has never materialized.

UNT has more students living on campus than LT has enrolled in their university.

Our students section fills up for home games (9,000 strong).



And, when our program is good, our fan base has attended games.









And, we still have a lot of room for improvement.

SSJ I like UNT and I think Apogee is fantastic. UNT is a great option for local kids. Located in one the fastest growing areas in America 7+million.
There is nothing wrong with being the local option for such a growing population. With only a small improvement in Alumni engagement, UNT support can grow. I wish Tech could say the same
