First up is the Bahamas Bowl. Been watching most of this game, nothing else to watch on a Friday afternoon, and this game is hard to watch. Toledo had nearly 100 yards of penalties in the first half. It’s 17-14 Toledo over MTSU. Second half neither team can get anything going. A lot of bad passes, just not good football. Guess this is what you get when 6-6 plays a 7-5 team.

We will see this evening. Coastal struggled against Buffalo, and really anyone who matched up with them physically. NIU will be a tough match-up on the lines for them. Skill players leave a lot to be desired but QB play is actually pretty good.

Yeah that game is weird because Coastal on paper is the better team in every aspect. I hope Coastal comes out emotionally vested and takes it to the bulls. Will be watching and rooting for the Beach chickens this evening. BTW Beach Chickens never made sense until i visited Hawaii.

Yeah and they made that black and gold rooster a teal and bronze one and made their mascot. Good looking campus though from the pictures and really good looking ball park.
Is “Coach Prime” capable of pulling his own kid to see if he can get some offense going in the Celebration Bowl???
UTEP going for their first bowl win in about 75 years, currently up 10-9, and they are threatening.

Come in with only one loss, to ULM, and lost handily to a 6-5 team. Laid a serious egg.
No one was giving UAb much of a chance in the Independence Bowl, but BYU is without their starting QB and UAb is up 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
UTEP is 2 behind Fresno but I would like to see the Miners win it. They haven't won a bowl since the '60s'.
Independence stadium needs new turf. That’s for sure.
They really should look to move that bowl if they won’t keep the facilities up to certain standards.
And with the name/heritage, I hope we can land it as a tie-in.

stAte was 11-0 in 1975 and couldn't get into a bowl. The next year they started the bowl for the Southland. We have never played in it. I think McNeese and Tech played there and then we all got put into 1AA.
The reason I don’t like on campus bowl games, just watch the Mobile Bowl, even though it’s my school and my teams field markings, it just looks second rate for the bowl game. There are so many municipal stadiums out there that need a tenant, playing these games on campus just doesn’t have a good look most times.
Agreed on the field. It needs to be a special venue.

I enjoyed seeing your stadium used for the bowl today! I don't know, maybe I'm in the minority here when it comes to hosting other teams. I've got tickets to the MB Bowl on Monday because I think it's interesting having two different fan bases come to campus and compete in post-season play...
