SO WHAT!
That should tell you something about how good they are and not because of their opponents. They were nationally-ranked early this season, they won their conference just like we did, and they have an outstanding QB.
Coastal Carolina is a QUALITY opponent and will be a real challenge.
The very best of NIU coaches past and present have always insisted on respecting every opponent because if you don't, you have just diminished the value of win over them.

Coastal did not win their conference. They didn’t even play in the Sun Belt CCG. Coastal finished 2nd to App State in the East Division of the SBC.
That said, Coastal is a really good team. QB Grayson McCall is one helluva player.
