I don’t mean to be a wet blanket, but he never impressed me in the games I watched him play. Game always seemed too fast for him. That said, Will Hall may be able to whip him up into a good one for you guys.

Considering USM's QB situation, adding Brennan is a great addition. At the very least, he adds SEC starting experience to the QB competition... that certainly never hurts a QB room.

Must be pretty old by now. He played snaps against Troy when we beat them in 2017. I can't remember if he was the main guy or not.

Buddy of mine from LSU/Baton Rouge just told me he thinks Brennan was best QB on the team and wishes he was still at LSU and happy he didnt go to an SEC school.

Not found in the public online directory nor on SOAR. If he is coming, his docs haven’t processed yet and isn’t in the system yet. I’d still be skeptical of that rumor.

Well they groomed him for what seemed like 10 years. He didn't last long enough to become the villain. If he didn't get hurt, the fair weather LSU fans were only 2-3 games away from booing him like they did Jarret Lee at home.

I’ve been hearing for a while that this was happening. If it comes to be, if nothing else, he can mentor some of the younger guys.

Yep. Seems like a good kid. We had an LSU QB transfer and play a year for us (Anthony Jennings). Was also a good kid, but it wasn't a good fit/season. Matter of fact, you guys beat him in the NOLA bowl in 2016.

In the 3 games Brennan started and played in 2020, he was 79 of 131 (60.3%) for 1,112 yards, 11 TDs and 3 INTs. LSU scored 34, 41, and 41 points in those games (lost 2 of them).

It would be interesting to compare that to Joe Burrow's numbers in his first year as a starter at LSU.

He'll bring competition to a program that needs to find a signal caller for the 2022 season. I wouldn't have objected if he was coming to Southern. Good get for Southern Miss

Southern Miss needed this one bad. Hoping to see major improvement from you guys. Need to see 6-7 wins this season Year 2 under Hall.

Myles Brennan is a senior, right? He’s not coming in to bolster a QB room or help younger quarterbacks around him, although that might be a byproduct of him being there. He’s coming because he will be the starter. It’s not that much different from Jake Bentley coming to USA. Yes there was a “QB competition” but there was no doubt he was brought in to be the starter.

He is a great get. He is very impressive but he just can’t seem to stay healthy.

I was always impressed with Myles Brennan at LSU and lost track of him. Thought he was their guy.

Brennan was on campus yesterday. Hall’s staff is pursuing hard.
He has not signed nor is enrolled as of yet, not sure how that rumor started.
Brennan is also reported to visit with Ole Miss and Indiana as well among others.

I think we need to pump the breaks that this is a done deal based on one post by an over-excited USM student on TigerDroppings

Several ex-LSU coaches at Nebraska now too, so they are also after him. USM is in the thick of it and he would start for us next season. Keyes is the future,, but he got thrown to the wolves this year and needs a full season as the backup.

Myles Brennen returning to LSU. Will not transfer anywhere.
