Wide receiver Shamar Sandgren (6-1, 180) of Itawamba (Miss.) Community College announced via Twitter he's taking an official visit to Central Michigan this weekend, Dec. 3-5.

A 2020 graduate of Savannah (Ga.) Islands High School where he was rated a 3-star recruit, Sandgren originally committed to Western Kentucky in June 2019 before decommitting from the Hilltoppers in February 2020 and signing with UT-Chattanooga.

At Islands High School, Sandgren was a three-time all-region receiver who totaled 820 yards and nine TDs as a senior, while at Itawamba CC this past season he totaled 720 yards and six TDs in nine games.

The Chippewas offered a scholarship to Sandgren on Oct. 18 and conducted an in-home visit with him Wednesday.

Sandgren is a former teammate at Islands High School with WR Langston Lewis, who committed to CMU June 28 and is a member of the Chippewas 2022 recruiting class.

I believe the CMU coaches know a lot more about football and recruiting than I ever will. I hope their plans work out. The kid seems to have itchy feet and jumps from team to team quite a bit. How much eligibility would he have?
I agree with CN, this kid is another Dormandy/Sirmon. I don’t like jumpers. Too much of a risk. And their performance leaves a lot to be desired. PASS.
I think with his high school buddy Lewis coming in, too, the two of them will make for a potential dynamic duo at the wideout position.

Sandgren should have three years to play three.
Your eyes are getting sleepy.. .. you can't keep your eyes open...... NIU is a great place to play... ..
As expected, Shamar Sandgren announced his commitment to CMU today.

FIRE UP CHIPS! :)
Shamar Sandgren is returning to Itawamba (Miss.) Community College for another year and will not be signing with CMU.

That's too bad..he looks like a player. Get those grades up young fella.

I would think the Maryland transfer, Carlos Carrierre 6'5" will be looking to fill Jacorey Sullivan's spot.
