If so, possibly Marcus Freeman back to UC with a promotion. He’s a star in the making and he recruited most of UC’s roster. Perhaps the Domers just hire him.
Yeah now Fickell is probably gone. It was always ND or OSU. Unfortunate that UC gets screwed by Kelly again, but this is football. When ND and OU can’t even hold onto their coaches, there’s nothing you can do.

USC was never happening. OU was never happening.
There are two jobs that Fickell was always going to potentially leave for. And one of them just opened up.
BUT, and this is a big but, Ryan Day could be in the NFL in the next couple of years. We all know that’s Fickell’s dream job. Why not just wait it out?

Like the UC poster said, either Notre Dame or Ohio St could get Fickell. Don't think Fikell is the least bit interested in the OU job.
Isn't it interesting that the last time Cincy was ranked #4 in the country Brian Kelly bailed on them. Now that they're #4 again he bails on ND which might in turn cause Fickell to bail.

I can tell you our 5 Star LB from Hilton Head High School Jaylen Sneed was going to Notre Dame to play for Marcus Freeman and if he is not there then he is not going to Notre Dame.
It's crazy what college football has become when the coach at Notre Dame gets poached. Even if UC does lose Fickell, I'm confident they'll get a good replacement, they always do (with maybe one exception being Tuberville).
