Former Maine Head Coach Nick Charlton has agreed in principle to become the next Offensive Coordinator on Jim Mora's staff at UConn.

Wonder if Maine would come after DC Corey Hetherman? Seems like a job that a young up and coming HC doesn't stay long at.

Maybe former Old Dirty HC Bobby Wilder resurfaces at his alma mater.
For Pete's sake, might as well start a mega thread on all the dozens of openings out there now and soon to be.

Hetherman turned down the Maine opening last time to join JMU. No reason for him to go now when he will get a nice pay bump and more visibility as an FBS DC. The opportunities will be much bigger in a few years if he stays put.

Good question. Something that should be in our favor is that Hetherman was making 154.5k last season. The Maine head coach was making 153k. And Hetherman will be due a sizeable raise as we transition to FBS.

Unless he desperately wants to be a head coach now, I think better and more lucrative offers will materialize in the future.
I believe Corey is going to bide his time as a Sun Belt DC and wait until the G5 or elite FCS HC offers come. They will. (Maine is obviously not an "elite FCS" team. Sorry Jeff, gotta' be honest)
Cory would be by far the coach less Cig I would hate to lose.
