Ole Miss up 10-6 on Miss St at halftime. 30 minutes away from almost guaranteed punching a berth in a NY6 bowl game. Probably starts to eliminate a lot of teams from contention for any NY6 game.

This game was weird. Mississippi State look stronger for most of the first half, but some inexplicable errors, like receivers dropping easy TD passes on like three straight plays, put them permanently behind. State had 30 first downs in this game, but as someone else around here said the other day, they are wildly inconsistent, and unfortunately, this was a down-slope game for them.

They will probably surprise us, and beat a higher-ranked B1G team in something like the Gator Bowl or Outback Bowl.
I didn't watch much. It simply never got interesting enough to hold my attention. But seeing all the rain — that was quite a visual.
Really incredible job by Kiffin turning around Ole Miss in just two years. The rain definitely impacted the Leach Air Raid. Very entertaining Thanksgiving rivalry game.

If Kiffin does bolt Ole Miss after two years, he will have had six head coaching positions in fifteen years before the age of 50 (Raiders, Tennessee, USC, FAU, Ole Miss, new position). In addition, the longest he will have been in one head coaching position would be just four years (USC). Pretty wild career trajectory.
Boise with the quick start vs San Diego St at about 9:30am PT.

Could be worst case scenario for MWC a Fresno/Air Force CCG.
San Diego St has woken up. up 20-16 and just picked off the pass.
Texas ends its six-game losing streak, upends Kansas State 22-17.

SDSU .......... 27

Boise ........... 16

Late

SDSU heading to MW title game.
Final now, SDSU (11-1) 27 Boise State (7-5) 16

CCG will be Utah State and San Diego State.

Boise State is no longer anything special. Just another MWC program.
so good to see ECU somewhat back.

I don’t think this season was the proverbial nail in the coffin. It’s been a downward trend since Peterson left. I’m happy in the MWC. It’s a decent league. I want the conference to shoot for some AAC programs: Rice, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa, and Wichita St.
#4 Cincy 0
East Carolina 3
1:13 to go 1st

Cincy just turned ball over on downs.

You guys are harsh.

69-19 from 2014-2020. 78% win

Multiple 10+ win seasons.
Seems everytime you turn on an Iowa St home game, they’re wearing those goofy all-black uniforms. Terrible branding, doesn’t look like Iowa St whatsoever.
Cincy survives.

Granted they could've played better, but a 3 touchdown win is surviving?

They are certainly not special. Since 2015, San Diego State is 64-24 in the MWC, Boise State is 65-21. Not much difference. SDSU won the conference championship in 2015 & 2016, Boise State in 2017 & 2019. San Diego State is the only school in the MWC with a winning record versus Boise (4-3). With their losses to Fresno State in the CCG in 2018 and in the CCG to San Jose State in 2020, they have lost the pseudo aura of invincibility they had. They have also had the benefit of playing in the weaker mountain division.

That said, Boise State had some really good wins this season, crushing Fresno State & Utah State on the road, and beating BYU in Provo. But then there were the home losses to Nevada and Air Force. A 7-5 record is nothing special, but I am not sure we could call them "just another MWC program."

San Diego State will play the CCG in Carson at Dignity Health Sports Park and if they win the CCG, they will end up playing the in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. They would not have to leave Southern California for their final two games and playing a CCG and Bowl game in Los Angeles County should help their recruiting.

35-13 is surviving that is good surviving.
How much did Cincinnati score late?
Wazzou just stormed the field... in Seattle... 04-jawdrop

...question is, who pays the 'fines' for this? 03-drunk
That game might be enough for Wazzu to give Dickert the HC job permanently.

Wazzu’s QB, de Laura, has been 10 times better since Dickert became HC.

Also: If Oregon State beats Oregon on Saturday, Wazzu wins the north division on a tiebreaker.
