NIU poster says they have insider knowledge that we will be playing our backup QB(s) and sitting other key starters. Unless the players are too injured to play I disagree with such a move. This is a very young team with tons of freshmen playing that need to play and continue to gain chemistry before the biggest game (MAC Championship) of their careers. They may be rusty having not played in a game in 2.5 weeks from Game 11 (vs Buffalo) to MAC Championship.

Why i picked WMU. NIU cant rely on a half from their starters. Everyone haa been key in their final drives and 4th qtr heroics. They could suffer with a few key guys sitting.
Backup true freshman NIU QB not playing well. He fumbles the snap on the 3rd play of the game. WMU scores off the turnover. His first pass of the game on the 2nd drive he almost was intercepted.

No need to throw when you have a fullback that can run 96 yards!
Did these halftime analysts even talk about our game? This is why I care less about ESPN coverage. All they do is talk about other teams and not the MAC teams playing that night.
Our coaching staff basically checked out with the gameplan for this game before the game was even played. They've let the backup QB throw four times.
If you've determined you're going to sit key starters before the game is even played you've decided you don't care about losing the game. So why not open up the offense and let the backup QB play? If he throws INTs and sucks it shouldn't matter. But you still have no clue how good/bad the backup is if we only have four pass attempts in 3 qtrs.
Desperately needed feel-good win for the Broncos and gives us Win #7, so solidifying a bowl.

Certainly a different game if NIU hadn't already clinched. Felt a lot like the final 2018 game, where NIU had clinched and the Broncos were gunning for Win #7.

Hopefully that helps WMU ride into the postseason with momentum and get a bowl win.

I don't see how the our team could feel good about going into the biggest game of the season on Dec. 4th. I didn't really see anything positive with a gameplan where we mailed it in before the game was even played. Four pass attempts after 3 qtrs of play?? That was such an ultra conservative game called combined with our awful defense was receipe for a disaster.

Hopefully this team isn't completely dejected after that with two more important games coming up.

It seems like Hammock already knows what he has in Hampton and it isn't much. He's skinny and also looks slow. If he didn't know, he would have had Hampton throw more.
Two of our three Michigan schools locked in mortal combat. 7-3 Chips in a tight one so far.
17-10 as the Eagles punch it in to stay close.
CMU pissing this game away
Chips pulling away now, not a bad year in Mt Pleasant.

Thankfully not. Can’t believe that game was even competitive for the most part. Especially with the faking injuries nonsense.
Also, nobody witnessed it, but BG beat Ohio 21-10. Two teams finish with bad records but both had moments this season they can point to and feel they might be trending in the right direction.
Central Michigan might be playing the best football in the MAC right now ...

No question. I truly believe CMU is the best team in the MAC right now, just one fumbled snap away from playing in the MAC Championship game next Saturday at Ford Field.
